The system operates on full screen PCs in strategic positions on the shop floor. Users interact with the system through the PC keyboard, selecting from choices that appear in a drop down list boxes on the screen. Bar code readers *attached to keyboard) may also be deployed within the system for scanning of Employee ID, Job Number, Activity, Inventory Codes, Etc. Due to the drop down lists, there are no codes to memorize and all selections are fully prompted and confirmed immediately. The user may enter comments or notes and may also confirm the use of materials and inventory.
